Sync Toy - Not Syncing all files

The question was why doesn’t SyncToy always copy all the files i.e. Some photos.

So here is the scenario, you love using Sync Toy for syncing your files, but sometimes it misses some files / folders. You Repeat the sync but the same thing occurs. Here is my solution. Remember use SYNCHRONISATION not ECHO for this solution.

Firstly, the quick solution is to run a Preview, and then tick all the boxes and click RUN. This will solve the problem.

I suspect the only way it could get to this state, is if:

• The files are read only
• The program was crashed (forcibly shutdown) during a sync
• The Computer lost power during a sync
• A past preview, was established without the Italy photos, and then run. The resulting consequence could be, that this selection was retained for future synchronisations.

In any event the solution is, to:
• Disable the read only attributes on your data files
• always run a preview, and select all boxes. (This can be done by right clicking on a box and selecting).

NB. You can download the latest Sync Toy 2.0 Here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=c26efa36-98e0-4ee9-a7c5-98d0592d8c52&displaylang=en
