Kyocera CS-1650 NW-FAX - Setup for PC Faxing

Setup Fax software on computers

Major stages to setup:

1. Install Software

2. Configure Software

3. Test Fax


NB. You need to have downloaded the fax driver, and unzip it, ready for use, before proceeding with this manual.

Open the Fax driver folders and locate “Setup.exe” and run it/

Alternately you could copy this to your RUN window, and click OK

See the drives folder: \Win2K_XP\setup.exe

You may get a security warning, just click RUN

The install window should open, and you then need to follow the prompts:

Click NEXT

Choose the KM 1650 Fax Driver and click Next

Untick the option which says “Do you want Windows based computers to use this Network Fax as the default?” (NO) Click Next

Click Install

Click (NO) to the last option and then Finish. Now move onto the configure software part of this manual.



Right-Click on “Kyocera Mita CS-1650 NW-FAX” and choose PROPERTIES

Click on the ADVANCED TAB (Fourth from the left), and click ADVANCED button.

Click the FAX TX SETTING button.

Click on the “Sender Information” Tab, and then setup with your information:

Click on the “Machine Setting” Tab, and type the Fax devices IP Address in here

Click Ok, and now you can try to send a fax.

Click Ok, and close the Printer Control Panel.

Test Fax

Open Word, and type something onto a blank page.. ie. Blah blah

Click File and then PRINT

Choose the “Kyocera Mita CS-1650 NW-FAX” fax driver and click PRINT.

Type the following number into the “FAX Number” field: 1300368999 then click SEND button.

NB. Above is for Australia lines only! 1300 368 999 is a Telstra faxback feature.

Your fax should now be transmitted, and you can watch it being sent in the box that opens. Also an email should come back with a report (it will arrive at the inbox you setup during configuration).
